LINCOLN-Ronald Eugene Butts, 63, of Lincoln passed away at his home at 2:40 p.m. on January 11, 2012.

Ron was born on December 15, 1948 in Bloomington, IL the son of George William and Reva Marie Boyles Butts. He married Kathy Jo Risley, February 15, 2003 at Lincoln Christian Church, Lincoln, IL. She survives him in Lincoln.

Ron is also survived by one son: Adam Butts (and fiancée, Kelly) of Sullivan, IL; one daughter: Amy (Chris) Davenport of Lincoln, IL; two sisters: Judy (Chas) Altman of Lincoln; LeAnn (Robert) Reaves of Idaho Falls, ID; two step children Todd ( Kyla) Zastrow of Mattoon, IL and Winston Zastrow of Lincoln, IL; and two step grandchildren: Colin and Jaxon Zastrow. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron currently worked in maintenance at Lincoln Christian Village. He retired after 33 years from Operating Engineers Local #965. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church since 1963. Ron served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Tim Searby and Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Burial will be at New Union Cemetery, IL with full military rites accorded by American Legion Post #263. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family or WLUJ radio station in Springfield, IL.
