According to early reports from the Keweenaw Sheriff's Department, McEntire was one of a group of seven snowmobilers traveling north on
what is called trail three near Delaware when he lost control of his
snowmobile and struck a tree. McEntire was transported to Aspirus
Keweenaw Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The accident is
under investigation.
McEntire was the owner of McEntire Roofing in Lincoln.
