LINCOLN-Patricia Joan Behm, 76, passed away on January 16, 2012 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 19, 2012 followed by services at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Patricia will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Patricia, the daughter of Gus and Ruby Zieglowsky (both deceased) of Hartsburg, IL was born on March 7, 1935. She was baptized in the name of the Triune God at Grace Methodist Church in Hartsburg and reaffirmed her faith in the almighty Lord at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL.
Patricia married Walter E. Behm on August 7, 1955, and the Lord blessed their marriage with four children, seven grandchildren, and three great granddaughters. Children: Cynthia (David) Haseley of Castle Rock, Colorado; Walter II (Julie) of Tempe, Arizona; Stephen (deceased) and Beth (Roy) Seaney of Tallula, Illinois. Grandchildren: Laura (Ben) Nelson, Kristen Haseley, Marissa Behm, Sarah Behm, Kelsey Seaney, Danielle Seaney, and Blake Seaney. Great granddaughters: Isabella Nelson, Olivia Nelson and Emma Siebert. Patricia is also survived by her sister, Sharon (Ray) Sanders of Jerusalem, Israel, and her niece Stacy (Kevin) Howard of Piere, Illinois.
Patricia was a homemaker, a caregiver to her parents and those in need, and supported her husband on the farm. She enjoyed playing chimes, and singing in the choir at Zion Lutheran Church and the Lincoln Area Music Society. Patricia was active in her church as a member of the Lutheran Layman League and she taught 2nd grade Sunday school for many years.
