Doris Virginia Gehlbach, 74, of McCormick, SC, formerly of the Lincoln area, died January 7, 2012 in Greenwood, SC.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, IL.  A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM on Saturday also at the church.

Doris was born September 10, 1937 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Howard Eugene and Mildred (La Jeunesse) Graham.  She married Ben Gehlbach on December 26, 1960.  He preceded her in death on July 11, 2004.

She was a very active member in the Lutheran Church organizations over the years.  She served as board member, President, Treasurer, and in other capacities for several charity organizations.  She enjoyed square dancing and playing cards.

Surviving are her daughter Carrie Gehlbach of Texas, brother Don (Toni) Graham of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ben, and her daughter Amy.

Memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, the Charleston Hope Lodge, Hospice Care of Piedmont, Inc. or the charity of the donor's choice.
