Lincoln: Raymond E. Turner, age 94, of Lincoln died at 5:40 P.M. on January 27, 2012 at the Christian Village in Lincoln, IL.

Raymond was born in Atlanta, IL. on May 30, 1917 the son of Gilbert and Laura Petty Turner. He was united in marriage to Berniece A. Schmidt on November 22, 1941 in St. Charles, Mo. She survives. Raymond is also survived by two sons, Delmar (Donna) Turner of Lincoln, IL. and Darrell (Pam) Turner of Atlanta, IL., one sister, Eleanor (Virgil) Schmidt of Atlanta, IL., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Raymond will be on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL. with Rev. Andrew Nyren and Chad Ragsdale co- officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln with full military rites by American Legion Post #263. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln.

Raymond was retired from farming. He had farmed in Oran and Eminence Townships. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL. and was a army veteran of W.W. #2 where he was stationed in India during China, Burma and India Theatre.
