JANUARY 23

LUNCH BOXES 

California Innovations is recalling Expandable Insulated Lunch Box with Freezer Gel Pack sold nationwide from May 2007 to September 2008. Gel that contains diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol can leak out of damaged freezer gel packs, posing a poisoning hazard if ingested. 

The recalled product is a Ci Sport three-piece, expandable, insulated lunch box set, which includes the lunch box, aluminum bottle and the freezer gel pack. The lunch box of the recalled set has the code "1-61731-99-57" printed on one of the two white labels that are sewn under the white fastener inside the main compartment. It is made of vinyl, polyester nylon and crushed nylon and has a logo with the words "Ci Sport" attached to the upper left corner. The gel pack is a 6-inch by 4-inch transparent plastic pouch filled with blue liquid gel. The words "Cryofreeze" and "Ice Pack/Hot Pack" are printed in white letters on the front of the pouch. 

Consumers may return the lunch box set to Costco for a full refund or may receive a $5 cash refund for the gel pack only by contacting California Innovations at (800) 722-2545 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the firm's website at www.californiainnovations.com. FOOD CARRIERS 

California Innovations is recalling Travelin' Chef Expandable Thermal Food Carriers sold at Walmart from August 2008 to December 2011. Gel that contains diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol can leak out of damaged freezer gel packs, posing a poisoning hazard if ingested. 

The recalled product is a four-piece food carrier set, which includes a light blue thermal carrier with black carrying handles, a medium plastic food container, a large plastic food container and a freezer gel pack. The recalled thermal carrier has the code "1-38018-69-07" printed on a white label on the inside of the main compartment on the left hand side. The gel pack is an 8.5-inch by 8-inch, opaque blue plastic pouch filled with liquid gel. The words "Cryofreeze" and "Ice Pack/Hot Pack" are printed in white letters on the front of the pouch. 

Consumers may return the gel pack to Walmart for a refund of $6 or contact California Innovations customer service at (800) 722-2545 for the same refund. More info at www.recalls.org.

JANUARY 24

RATTLES 

Lee Carter Co. is recalling Infant Rattles sold nationwide from February 2001 to October 2011. The rattle's handle is small enough to fit into a child's throat, posing a choking hazard. 

The recalled rattles are made out of multi-colored, woven plastic and have a bell inside. They measure about 4 1/2 inches long. "Made in Mexico" and "Lee Carter Company" are printed on a tag on a purple plastic loop at the end of the rattle's handle. 

Consumers should return them to Lee Carter Co. for a full refund or credit towards a replacement product.

WRESTLING FIGURES 

Lee Carter Co. is recalling Super Luchamania Action Figures sold nationwide from June 2000 to October 2011. The surface paints on the action figures contain excessive levels of lead. 

The recalled Mexican wrestling Super Luchamania action figures were sold in packs of 12. "Super Luchamania" is printed on the action figures' packaging. 

Consumers should return them to Lee Carter Co. for a full refund or credit towards a replacement product.

JANUARY 25

BICYCLE HANDLEBARS 

Euro Asia Imports is recalling Bicycle Handlebars sold nationwide and in Canada from January 2008 to July 2011. The recalled bicycle handlebars can break while the user is riding the bike, resulting in loss of control and a fall hazard. 

This recall involves Nitto aluminum bicycle handlebars with model number B259AA. NITTO and B259 are printed at the end of the handlebars.

LAWNMOWER BLADES 

Blount International is recalling OregonŽ Replacement Lawnmower Blades sold nationwide from January 2010 to September 2011.The replacement lawnmower blades can break during normal use, posing a laceration hazard. 

This recall involves Blount lawnmower replacement blades for Ariens 48-inch lawnmowers. The replacement blades are sold under the OregonŽ brand name. OregonŽ, part number 91-003 and PA or PJ are printed on the surface of the recalled blades. 

Consumers should return the blades to the store where purchased or directly to Blount for a free replacement.

JANUARY 26

GOLF AND SERVICE VEHICLES 

Columbia ParCar is recalling golf, service and utility vehicles sold nationwide from June 2008 to July 2011. The lower steering yoke can loosen where it attaches to the steering rack and pinion, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash. 

The recalled items are 2009, 2010 and 2011 Columbia ParCar golf carts, low-speed service and utility vehicles. They are 36- or 48-volt electric vehicles manufactured from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011. VIN numbers can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should contact local ParCar dealer for a free inspection and repair as required.

UTILITY VEHICLES 

KYMCO USA is recalling utility vehicles sold nationwide from June 2008 to October 2011. An exposed portion of the exhaust system can allow debris such as leaves, brush or other flammable materials to enter the opening and ignite, posing a fire hazard. 

The recall involves 2009 through 2012 KYMCO utility task vehicles (UTVs). The vehicles are gasoline-powered, off-road vehicles with two side-by-side seats, a cargo bed and a steering wheel.  A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org

Consumers should return the vehicles to a KYMCO dealer for the free installation of a repair kit.

BJ'S FLASHLIGHTS 

BJ's Wholesale Club is recalling LED Flashlight and Battery Sets sold at BJ's Wholesale Clubs from July 2011 to December 2011. The flashlights can heat up, smoke or melt when turned on, posing fire and burn hazards. 

The recall involves Superex SAFETO GO LED flashlight and battery sets. The flashlights in the sets are made of either red or black plastic with black or gray rubber around the handles and light bases. The words Superex, SAFETO GO Family Pack, and Bright White LED Flashlights appear on the front of the packaging. The UPC 0-56986-01008-3 is printed on the back of the packaging along with the SKU number 700935. 

Consumers should return the item to any BJ's Wholesale Club for a full refund.
