Thursday afternoon the Lincoln
& Logan County Development Partnership said goodbye to Mike Maniscalco, their executive director.
Maniscalco and his wife, Sabohat, left early
Friday morning for Connecticut. Maniscalco is taking a job as
city manager for the city of East Hampton.

Steve Smith said bringing Maniscalco to Lincoln was a good move for
the board, and they are sorry to see him go.
|
The partnership's administrative assistant, Christel Huff, will keep the office going while a search for a new
director takes place. |

The Maniscalcos are returning to their roots
in Connecticut. Mike has family there, within an hour's drive of
East Hampton.
With their first child (a girl) due in
October, they are looking forward to being near family when that day
arrives. |
|
Atlanta Mayor Fred Finchum came bearing gifts,
among them a North Greens golf shirt.
|
Lincoln Mayor Keith Snyder also came bearing
gifts, with a portrait of the city's namesake to help Maniscalco remember
his time here.
|
|
Board members and guests offer well-wishes to
Sabo.
|
Alderman Kathy Horn served as the city
representative on the partnership board. She said she has a
great deal of respect for Maniscalco and is sorry to see him
leaving. |
