On Thursday afternoon, Michael
and Sabohat Maniscalco said goodbye to Logan County. They
have a lot to look forward to in the future. They have their
first baby on the way, and they are returning to Connecticut, where
they have family. While
he was here less than a year, Maniscalco made a lot of friends in
the community, and a number of them turned out to give him and Sabo a
proper send-off. Pictures by

We're just not sure what that face is about. Maybe this is right after Maniscalco found out the
chamber girls had
done something to his car.

Mark Hughes, past president of the development
partnership, and Finchum chat for a bit. |

Alderwoman Jonie Tibbs and Christel Huff visit near the
refreshment table. Huff said the first steps in the search for
a new director have already begun.

Early arrivals sit around the table enjoying a
few snacks and a nice time of visiting and saying goodbye to the Maniscalcos. |
|
We told you Friday in our top picture that chamber
director Andi Hake was up to no good during the reception.
|
But we also told you she had accomplices, and
here they are.

|
And the final product. It took the Maniscalos a little while to get in their car.
|
Maniscalco was with the development partnership just under
a year.
In looking back over that year, he will
probably be remembered most for his ardent fight to help keep the
Logan Correctional Center open, his drive to get phase two of the
economic master plan off the ground and his work in bringing
electric aggregation to Logan County.
