Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Monday afternoon.
Hot and dry weather in the
forecast for the cornbelt and export interest drove grain
futures higher.
The USDA announced the fifth
largest one day grain sale in history, with the sale of 1.9
million metric tonnes of US soybeans to an unknown destination.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 10 to 19 cents higher at 6.79-6.92.
Soybean bids traded 15 to 18 cents
higher at 15.10-15.23.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 23 to 27 cents higher at 6.82-7.03.
Soybean bids were 4 to 9 cents
higher at 15.01-15.12.
Wheat bids were mostly 13 to 15
cents higher at 7.22-7.44.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 15 to
20 cents higher at 6.98-7.19.
Soybean bids were 12 to 19 cents
higher at 15.08-15.41.
Wheat bids were mostly 13 to 24
cents higher at 7.37-7.80.
