Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Thursday afternoon.
The continuation of the hot
temperatures for the cornbelt, especially the eastern cornbelt,
pushed grain prices higher.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 35 to 39 cents higher at 7.35-7.53.
Soybean bids traded 53 to 57 cents
higher at 16.06-16.16.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 34 to 35 cents higher at 7.38-7.58.
Soybean bids were mostly 53 to 57
cents
higher at 15.90-16.16.
Wheat bids were 39 to 41 cents
higher at 8.02-8.20.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 34 to
39 cents higher at 7.48-7.69.
Soybean bids were 50 to 57 cents
higher at 15.97-16.26.
Wheat bids were 39 to 49 cents
higher at 8.01-8.53.
