Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Monday afternoon.
Continued dry weather pushed corn and soybean prices higher.
The USDA's Crop Condition Report
had 40% of the corn in the good to excellent columns, down from
48% a week ago.
Soybeans had 40% rated good to
excellent, down from 45% last week.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 29 to 32 cents higher at 7.53-7.67.
Soybean bids traded 39 to 41 cents
higher at 16.25-16.46.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 25 to 37 cents higher at 7.59-7.81.
Soybean bids were 39 to 41 cents
higher at 16.13-16.50.
Wheat bids were 20 to 21 cents
higher at 7.91-8.12.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 34 to
39 cents higher at 7.69-7.82.
Soybean bids were 35 to 37 cents
higher at 16.21-16.57.
Wheat bids were 22 to 23 cents
higher at 7.86-8.39.
