Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Thursday afternoon, with corn and wheat values sharply
higher.
With little help to improve crop
conditions in the weather forecast, corn values gained strength
at the Board of Trade.
Weekly export sales figures for
corn were also above trade expectations at 664,800 metric tonnes.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 21 to 26 cents higher at 7.44-7.57.
Soybean bids traded 7 to 9 cents
lower at 15.92-16.05.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 24 to 27 cents higher at 7.56-7.68.
Soybean bids were mixed at
15.82-16.04.
Wheat bids were 20 to 25 cents higher at 8.13-8.28.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 27 to
34 cents higher at 7.62-7.81.
Soybean bids were mixed at
15.87-16.28.
Wheat bids were mostly 16 to 27 cents higher at 8.21-8.62.
