Mary Colletta Swingle, 89, of Lincoln, died Sunday, July 15, 2012,
at 9 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

LINCOLN-Mary Colletta Swingle, 89, of Lincoln died at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital on July 15, 2012 at 9:00 p.m.
Mary was born on April 16, 1923 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of Earl and
Vernece Tutter Furr. She married John P. Swingle on August
16, 1954 in Missouri. He preceded her in death May 15, 1984.
Mary is survived by two sons: Melvin (Lois) Chrisman of Sherman, IL;
Michael Swingle of Lincoln; two daughters: Rita Barry and
Marsha (Mark) Marston, all of Lincoln, IL; four
grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two nieces and one
nephew. She is the last of her immediate family. She was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three
sisters including a twin sister, and a grandson. |
Mary was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family
Church of Lincoln.
Private family services will be held at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL with
Rev. Glen Fontana officiating. Burial will be at
Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln, IL. There will be no
visitation. Memorials may be given to Memorial Home
Hospice, Alzheimer's Research or American Cancer Society. |
