Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Tuesday afternoon.
Hot and dry weather conditions
again supported higher grain futures at the Board
of Trade, with stronger soybean meal values helping to lift
soybean values.
In the USDA's Weekly Crop Progress
report, the Illinois corn crop placed only 11% in the good to
excellent category, with the states
soybean crop placing 17% in the good to excellent range.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mixed at 7.74-7.90.
Soybean bids traded 3 to 5 cents
higher at
16.52-16.65.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mixed at 7.94-8.14.
Soybean bids were 5 to 7 cents
higher at 16.53-16.74.
Wheat bids were steady to 1 cent higher at 8.50-8.68.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mixed
at 7.86-8.30.
Soybean bids were mixed at
16.51-16.89. Wheat bids were steady to 1 cent higher at
8.55-9.00.
