DuPont, based in Wilmington, Del., said net income for the three months ending June 30 totaled $1.18 billion, or $1.25 per share, down from $1.22 billion, or $1.29 per share, for the same period last year. Excluding one-time items, net income was $1.48 per share, up from $1.37 for the same quarter last year.
Revenue totaled $11 billion, up from $10.26 billion for the second quarter of 2011. The results fell shy of Wall Street expectations of $1.46 per share on revenue of about $11.25 billion.
