Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Wednesday afternoon, with soybeans and wheat sharply
higher.
Wheat futures gained strength from
export interest and news the drought in Russia was covering a
wider area than given in earlier reports.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 2 to 5 cents higher at 7.79-7.98.
Soybean bids traded mostly 40 to
45 cents higher at 17.14-17.24.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 6 to 7 cents higher at 7.98-8.24.
Soybean bids were 44 to 48 cents
higher
at 17.15-17.27.
Wheat bids were 24 to 26 cents
higher at 8.81-8.88.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly
3 to 5 cents higher at 7.98-8.44.
Soybean bids were 42 to 46 cents
higher at
17.09-17.39.
Wheat bids were 24 cents higher at
8.61-9.06.
