Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Thursday afternoon. Dry
weather conditions and a bleak outlook for rain next week across
the Midwest
has sparked both fund and commercial buying.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 8 to 12 cents higher at 6.11-6.29.
Soybean bids traded 40 to 44 cents
higher
at 14.10-14.25.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 8 to 12 cents higher at 6.14-6.29.
Soybean bids were mostly 42 cents
higher at
14.12-14.28.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 8 to
11 cents higher at 6.21-6.45.
Soybean bids were 40 to 44 cents
higher at 14.15-14.37.
Wheat bids were 17 to 20 cents
higher at 6.20-6.42.
