Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Wednesday afternoon.
Export interest and technical
buying at the Board of Trade helped to push corn futures higher.
Soybean futures were weakened by
fund and speculator selling resulting from an improving extended
weather forecast.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 8 to 14 cents higher at 6.15-6.28.
Soybean bids traded 27 to 28 cents
lower at
13.93-14.07.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mostly 8
to 9 cents higher at 6.15-6.30.
Soybean bids were 24 to 25 cents
lower at 13.92-14.11. Wheat bids were mixed at 5.94-6.08.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly
9 to 12 cents
higher at 6.21-6.46.
Soybean bids were 25 to 27 cents
lower at 13.97-14.40.
