[June 13, 2012]  Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday a call came from Peoria Air Traffic Control that a plane would be making an emergency landing at the Logan County Airport. The pilot of a Cirrus SR22 reported fluctuating loss of oil pressure and was changing course to land at the nearest airport.

The aircraft was 10 miles out when the pilot made the call. He reported that he had two passengers on board.

Local emergency response agencies including fire trucks and Logan County's Emergency Management Agency were at the airport northeast of Lincoln at 1:43 p.m. when the pilot landed the plane with two passengers safely.
