Sneak peeks and premieres of NBC's new prime-time schedule will piggyback on its coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, as well as on the return of "The Voice" and "Sunday Night Football," the network announced Thursday. The unveiling will begin with commercial-free sneak previews of NBC's new comedies "Go On" (on Aug. 8, after the evening's Olympics coverage) and "Animal Practice" (on Aug. 12, following the Olympics' Closing Ceremonies).
On Aug. 13, the new competition series "Stars Earn Stripes" debuts, followed by the "advance season premiere" of the sophomore drama "Grimm."
The NFL Kickoff Special 2012 and the season's first NFL game (on Wednesday, Sept. 5) will be followed by "Football Night in America" and "Sunday Night Football" kicking off in their regular slots on Sept. 9.
"The Voice" marks its season premiere on Sept. 10, followed by "encore sneak peeks" of "Animal Practice" and "Go On."
"Go On" and another comedy, "The New Normal," premiere in their regular time slots on Sept. 11, with a sneak peek of the comedy "Guys With Kids" airing Sept. 12.
The drama "Revolution" premieres on Sept. 17 and another drama, "Chicago Fire," debuts on Oct. 10.
"Animal Practice" will start in its regular day and time on Sept. 26, followed by the time-period debut of "Guys with Kids."
