Mock disaster drills for EMA help

During the course of the day, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital was also involved in the mock scenarios but was strictly off-limits to media.

According to the Logan EMA public information officer, the hospital staff participated in emergency responses but also dealt with a myriad of calls from people who knew their loved ones had been either at the school or at Scully Park when disaster struck.

The unconscious victim at the anhydrous ammonia accident at Chester-East Lincoln School is loaded onto a gurney and prepared for transport to ALMH.

With the critical patient in the hands of Logan County Paramedics, the first responders work to get all the other victims through the makeshift showers.

 

 

 

 

 

When the drill is completed, firefighters are quick to get out of the hot, heavy gear.
