McLEAN -- Cathryn E. Anderson, 77, of
McLean, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at 11:38 p.m. at Manor Court of
Clinton.

McLean- Cathryn E. Anderson, 77, of McLean passed
away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:38 p.m. at Manor
Court of Clinton in Clinton.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Anderson will be held on
Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Quiram
Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta with Pastor Rob Roy
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. Saturday
until time of the service.
Burial will be at a later date at Funks Grove
Cemetery in rural McLean.
Cathryn Elizabeth Anderson was born on July 7, 1934
in Carlinville the daughter of James and Elizabeth
Kindred Fones. She married James Anderson in October
of 1987. He preceded her in death in August of 2008.
Surviving are her children: Carol (Bob) Young,
Bourbonnais; Jeff (Sue) Nevius, Bloomington; Jayne
(Brian Gardner) Killian, Clinton; Sarah (Emory)
Bumgardner, Atlanta. Three sisters: Rose Mary
McGuire, Patty Fay, Barb Harms. Eight grandchildren,
One great grandchild. One brother, John Fones,
preceded her in death.
Cathryn worked in jewelry sales for over thirty
years. She retired from Rogers and Holland Jewelers
as a manager. Cathryn loved helping customers find
the perfect item.
She successfully raised four children by making the
best with what she had and instilled in them her
strong work ethic.

She will be remembered as a good friend and
neighbor, a loving mother and grandmother. Those who
were close to Cathryn, knew she was a fighter.
Although her family will greatly miss her, they have
peace knowing she is no longer suffering.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Atlanta.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Methodist
Church.
