Friday evening the Lincoln Park District hosted its annual drive-thru fried chicken dinner in the parking lot of American Legion Post 263. They began serving at 4:30 p.m. and continued until 7. According to Marcia Greenslate and Roy Logan of the park district, by a little after 6 they had served up approximately 400 meals.  The proceeds from the dinner help pay for the annual Fourth of July fireworks display at the park district.
