Friday evening the Lincoln Park District hosted its annual drive-thru fried chicken dinner in the parking lot of American Legion Post 263. They began serving at 4:30 p.m. and continued until 7. According to Marcia Greenslate and Roy Logan of the park district, by a little after 6 they had served up approximately 400 meals. The proceeds from the dinner help pay for the annual Fourth of July fireworks display at the park district. Photo by Nila Smith (Click on picture for larger image.) |
