The Zion Lutheran School Lady Eagles eighth-grade basketball team won fourth place in the Lutheran Sports Association state tournament in Chicago over the weekend. Pictured above are head coach Todd Koehler, Hailie Williams, Lexie Groves and assistant coach Bob Cox with the Lady Eagles' state fourth-place trophy. Hailie and Lexie were both chosen for the all-tournament team.

"This is an awesome accomplishment for our small school to compete and have great success against some much larger schools from throughout Illinois," said Zion Principal Steve Schumacher.
