Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Monday afternoon, with wheat and soybeans higher and
corn lower. Soybean futures were strengthened by another private
report that could reduce the size of Brazil's soybean crop.
Technical buying at the Board of Trade and concern with dry
conditions for the European wheat crop helped to drive wheat
values up.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 9 cents lower at 6.19-6.32. Soybean bids
traded 15 to 16 cents higher at 13.49-13.67.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 8 to 9 cents lower at 6.28-6.43. Soybean bids were 13
to 14 cents higher at
13.56-13.70.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 9 to
10 cents lower at 6.33-6.53. Soybean bids were 12 to 15 cents
higher at 13.62-13.80. Wheat bids were 5 to 6 cents higher at
6.40-6.65.
