Illinois country grain prices were lower on Thursday afternoon.
Fund selling at the Board of Trade, poor weekly export sales
figures, and
speculative selling drove corn futures lower. Traders wanted to
take profits and even positions ahead of the USDA reports.
Friday morning
the USDA will release their Prospective Planting and Quarterly
Grain stocks reports.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 17 to 19 cents lower at 5.83-5.96. Soybean
bids traded 10 to
12 cents lower at 13.25-13.42.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 16 cents lower at 5.94-6.09. Soybean bids were 12 to
13 cents lower at
13.28-13.43.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 11 to
16 cents lower at 6.03-6.20. Soybean bids were 12 cents lower at
13.41-13.52.
Wheat bids were 18 to 20 cents lower at 5.95-6.17.
