MOUNT PULASKI -- Walter Edward
Hagenbuch Jr., 88, of Mount Pulaski, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at
8:40 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Mt. Pulaski: Walter Edward Hagenbuch Jr., 88, of Mt.
Pulaski, died at 8:40 P.M. Sunday, April 29, 2012 at
Vonderlieth Living Center.
Walter was born January 16, 1924 to Walter Edward
and Ruby Vetter Hagenbuch Sr. He married Carlene
Lingenfelter on August 14, 1949 in Mt. Pulaski. She
survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Edward (Rebecca)
Hagenbuch of Ham Lake, MN, Randy (Michelle)
Hagenbuch of Chestnut, IL, one daughter, Jan (Gary)
Hannam of Canton, IL and six grandchildren.
Walter retired as manager of shipping and receiving
at Sears and Roebuck in Decatur, working from
1948-1979, and was custodian at Mt. Pulaski School
District #23 for many years. He was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski, an Army Air
Corps veteran, serving during WWII, a member of the
American Legion Post #447, Illinois State Police
Auxiliary, he was a Mt. Pulaski Constable as well as
an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

Services for Walter will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday May 3, 2012
at The Mt. Pulaski Christian Church with Mark Weber
officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from
4:00-7:00 P.M. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt.
Pulaski. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be
made to Vonderlieth Living Center or Mt. Pulaski American
Legion Post #447.
