Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Tuesday afternoon, with corn and wheat slightly higher
and soybeans sharply lower.
Speculative selling at the Board
of Trade weakened soybean futures. Many traders started to even
positions and take profits ahead of Thursday's USDA reports.
Sharply lower soybean meal values also helped to push prices
lower.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mostly 3 to 6 cents higher at 6.39-6.46.
Soybean bids traded 24 to 28 cents
lower at 14.07-14.26.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mostly 3 to 6 cents higher at 6.42-6.62.
Soybean bids were 27 to 28 cents
lower at 14.15-14.27.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 9
cents higher at 6.50-6.73.
Soybean bids were 26 to 28 cents
lower at 14.26-14.40. Wheat bids were 3 cents higher at
5.90-6.12.
