Lincoln College hires Pat Lepper as new men's basketball coach

Lincoln College has hired Pat
Lepper as the school's new men's basketball coach.
Lepper comes to the Lynx from John Wood Community College in Quincy,
where he served as the associate head coach for the men's basketball
program this past season.

"I am extremely excited to accept the head men's basketball
coaching position at Lincoln College," said Lepper. "I am looking
forward to building relationships with our student-athletes,
faculty, staff and the Lincoln community.
"I believe in hard work, a positive attitude and a consistent
effort, all of which will contribute to the continuing success of
Lincoln College. It is an honor to have this opportunity to be a
part of such a prestigious institution."
Lepper started his college basketball career at John Wood after
growing up in Jacksonville, Fla. During his time with the Blazers,
Lepper was a two-time team captain. Lepper was a third-team
all-conference selection as a freshman and a first-team
all-conference and all-region selection as a sophomore. Lepper was
also a high-achieving student at the junior college level, compiling
a 3.71 GPA. In recognition of his athletic and academic success,
along with a commitment to community service, Lepper was awarded the
prestigious Lea Plarski Award by the NJCAA for the 2005-06 season.
After graduating from JWCC, Lepper received a basketball
scholarship at Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne,
an NCAA Division I program. Lepper was a member of the basketball
team for two years and earned a bachelor's degree in general studies
in 2008.

Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Lepper returned to
Florida and joined the coaching staff at Jacksonville University as
a graduate assistant. While at Jacksonville, Lepper earned a
master's degree in business administration.
Lepper returned to John Wood in 2010 as an assistant coach and
was elevated to associate head coach in 2011.
"We are very excited to have Pat join our program," said Dave
Klemm, Lincoln College athletic director. "He brings a lot of
experience and energy to the institution."
Along with his coaching duties, Lepper will be an instructor in
the business department.
