Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Monday afternoon, with corn and wheat slightly higher
and soybeans sharply lower.
Another round of fund selling at the Board of Trade pushed
soybean prices lower. The soybean crush report from the National
Oilseed Processors Association was also
considered bearish by traders at 131.7 million bushels for the
month of April.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 1 to 2 cents higher at 5.94-6.06.
Soybean bids traded 13 to 19 cents lower at 13.52-13.70.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 2 cents higher at 6.02-6.18.
Soybean bids were 19 to 20 cents
lower at 13.62-13.75.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 2 to 4
cents higher at 6.04-6.30.
Soybean bids were 19 to 21 cents
lower at 13.69-13.91.
Wheat bids were steady to 2 cents
higher at 5.70-5.97.
