Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Wednesday afternoon, with corn and wheat sharply
higher.
Technical and fund buying at the
Board of Trade helped to lift corn and wheat values.
Confirmation by private exporters of the sale of 900,000 tonnes
of US corn to China supported stronger corn futures.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 23 to 25 cents higher at 6.33-6.43.
Soybean bids traded 9 to 10 cents
higher at 13.92-14.04.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 23 to 26 cents higher at 6.38-6.58.
Soybean bids were mostly 7 to 9
cents higher at 13.98-14.12.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly
23 to 26 cents higher at 6.50-6.67.
Soybean bids were mostly 9 cents
higher at 14.10-14.26.
Wheat bids were 28 to 31 cents
higher at 6.20-6.38.
