1. MINORITIES NOW SURPASS WHITES IN U.S. BIRTHS

New census figures show that, for the first time, racial and ethnic minorities make up more than half the children born in the U.S.

2. OBAMA WILL USE NATO SUMMIT TO HELP TO PAY FOR AFGHAN ARMY

At this weekend's meetings in Chicago, the president will ask world leaders to help foot the $4 billion-a-year cost of building an Afghan army to defend the country after international troops pull out.

An autopsy is scheduled today for 52-year-old Mary Richardson Kennedy, who was found dead at the family's New York estate. She had battled drug and alcohol problems.

5. ARMY LAUNCHES REVIEW OF PTSD DIAGNOSES

The action was triggered by revelations that some diagnoses of post-traumatic stress syndrome may have been reversed based on the cost of providing care.

6. CLEMENS ACCUSER RETURNS FOR A FOURTH DAY ON THE STAND

At 9 a.m., Clemens' lawyer will get another chance to cross-examine Brian McNamee after suggesting the trainer made up his account of injecting the pitching great with performance enhancing drugs.

7. DOCTORS ARE DITCHING THE OLD PAPER PRESCRIPTION PAD

More than a third of the prescriptions in the U.S. are now electronic -- a trend the government has been encouraging because it can be safer for patients.

8. MYANMAR FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS WITH SECRETARY OF STATE CLINTON

The 1:30 p.m. meeting comes as the U.S. plans to ease economic sanctions on the impoverished country for rights abuses and suppression of democracy.

9. SOLAR ECLIPSE WILL BE VISIBLE FROM CHINA TO TEXAS

The best views of the so-called "ring of fire" eclipse will be Sunday afternoon in the Western U.S. and around dawn Monday in parts of China, Taiwan and Japan.
