Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Thursday afternoon, with wheat and soybeans sharply
higher.
Good weekly export sales figures
and another sale of US soybeans to China helped to raise soybean
futures.
Today the USDA announced the sale
of 480,000 tonnes of old crop soybeans to China.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 5 to 9 cents higher at 6.39-6.55.
Soybean bids traded 16 to 21 cents
higher at 14.13-14.23.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 5 to 9 cents higher at 6.45-6.64.
Soybean bids were 15 to 19 cents
higher at 14.14-14.29.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 9
cents higher at 6.58-6.75.
Soybean bids were 16 to 20 cents
higher at 14.26-14.45.
Wheat bids were 16 to 20 cents
higher at 6.37-6.58.
