MOUNT PULASKI -- Betty J. Scroggin, 81,
of Mount Pulaski, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 4:10 p.m. at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Mt. Pulaski: Betty J. Scroggin, 81, of Mt. Pulaski
died at 4:10 P.M. May 30, 2012 at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Betty was born October 29, 1930 in Mt. Pulaski to
Charles and Geneva Benzinger Aylesworth Sr. She
married Robert Scroggin on August 22, 1950 in Mt.
Pulaski. He preceded her in death on February 7,
1993.
Surviving her is one son Terry (Jeanie) Scroggin of
Mt. Pulaski, one daughter Cheryl (Doc) Jason of Mt.
Pulaski, two brothers Charles "Sonny" (Barbara)
Aylesworth of Mt. Pulaski; George (Arlene)
Aylesworth of The Colony, TX; two sisters: Mary
(Don) Nelson of Fairfax, VA; Dorothy Malone of
Springfield, IL; five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
brothers Richard "Dick" Aylesworth, Robert "Bob"
Aylesworth and one infant brother and sisters Louise
Dunn and Sue Rostadt.
Betty was a member of the Mt. Pulaski St. John's
Lutheran Church.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday
June 5, 2012 at Veail Chapel, Steenbergen Cemetery,
Mt. Pulaski, IL with visitation one hour prior to
services. Memorials may be made to St. John's
Lutheran Church or the Mt. Pulaski Phoenix Fire
Department or the Mt. Pulaski EMS.
