The Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers volleyball team won the sectional championship Thursday night with a 25-22 and 25-15 victory over Sciota West Prairie. Erika Leever led the way with nine kills, and Allison Hickey added seven kills. The win by Mount Pulaski gave coach Donna Dulle her 22nd sectional championship over her 28-year career. The Lady Toppers improved their record to 31 wins and eight losses. Mount Pulaski advances to the supersectional and will play Danville Schlarman at 7 p.m. Saturday in Streator.
