SPRINGFIELD -- McDonald's restaurants
in central Illinois will team up to bolster education budgets on
McTeacher's Nights, scheduled throughout the week of Nov. 12-16.
Participating restaurants will donate a percentage of the proceeds
from evening sales to local schools. While students, parents and
other school supporters are visiting McDonald's, selected teachers
and school staff will be working behind the counter.

All levels and types of schools will be represented -- grade school,
middle school, high school, public, private and parochial. In
Lincoln, Adams Elementary School will participate at the local
McDonald's on Thursday.
Partnering schools will promote the fundraiser by decorating
McDonald's restaurants with school colors, distributing event
fliers, using school mascots, inviting the school band and having
attendance competitions between grades and classes.
McDonald's has a tradition of being a good community partner and
neighbor and has a long-standing commitment to supporting education,
World Children's Day and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
McTeacher's Nights give communities a chance to support area schools
while they enjoy a meal at McDonald's.
