Starting today, a new company will be working at the city of Lincoln landfill, grinding landscape waste that has been piling up for quite some time now. The city has entered into an agreement whereby the waste will be ground into marketable mulch products and sold by that firm. According to the attendant at the landfill, residents will be asked to separate their woody products, such as tree limbs and brush, from their soft products, such as leaves, grass and garden waste, when coming to the landfill.
