ATLANTA -- Icem Hillard Cook, 90, of Atlanta,
died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 4:50 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre
in Lincoln.

Atlanta- Icem Hillard Cook, 90, of Atlanta passed
away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 4:50 a.m. at
Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Mr. Cook will be held on
Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the funeral
home.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
Icem Hillard Cook was born on August 17, 1922 in
Morgantown, Kentucky the son of Icem and Perlina
Cook. He married Nellie Hires on September 27, 1947.
She preceded him in death on December 24, 2001.
He is survived by his son Kenneth (Susan) Cook of
Atlanta, one sister: JoAn Lowery of Tucson, Arizona,
Six grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son: Icem
Hillard (Sonny) Cook Jr., two brothers and two
sisters.

He was a member of the Hereford Hog Association.
He was employed as a truck driver for Schmidt
Implement Dealership in Atlanta and area farmers in
Atlanta and Eminence Township.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Fire Department
or Atlanta Rescue Squad.
