Clyde W. Camp, 90, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

LINCOLN-Clyde W. Camp, 90, of Lincoln passed away
Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. He was born March 27,
1922 in Adair, Illinois, the son of Rolla and Mae
Camp.
He served as Master Sgt. and 2nd Lt. in the U.S.
Army-Infantry during WWII and Korea.
Clyde worked Quality Control at PPG Industries and
retired after 30 years in 1984. He sang in the First
United Methodist Church choir for many years and a
member of and active in BPOE Lodge #914, Amvets Post
#71, and American Legion Post #263.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eddie Camp,
his daughter: Cathy Spanton of Las Vegas and son
Terry Camp of Jacksonville, Florida. Also his two
grandchildren Brittney Peterson and Jarrod (JD)
Welsh and five great grandchildren. He is also
survived by brothers: Ralph, Robert (Marge), James
(Carol) Camp, all of Springfield, IL; sister: Betty
Burger, Lincoln, IL. Sister Mary Ruthe Musser, Grand
Junction, Co. preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on
Thursday, October 18, 2012 at First United Methodist
Church, Lincoln with Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Lunch
will be served at First United Methodist Church
immediately following the memorial service. Burial
will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery,
Springfield, IL at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Floyd
Blackard officiating the committal. Services were
entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln.
Memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude's Children's
Research Hospital or First United Methodist Church
choir or the donor's choice.
