Seventh grade: WLB 34, Mount Pulaski 16 The seventh-grade
game started out slowly, but the Lady Wolverines pulled away,
defeating the Honeybears 34-16.
Ali Wilson led all scorers with 12 points and Emma Konczyk put in
10. Wilson and Konczyk also led the Lady Wolverine team in rebounds,
pulling down 11 each. Haley Hicks for the Wolverines contributed on
defense by leading the team in steals with eight.
The visiting Honeybears were led in scoring by Skylar Hayes with
nine points.
The seventh-grade Lady Wolverines improved their record to 5-0.

Eighth grade: WLB 40, Mount Pulaski 17
The eighth-grade game started off a bit more fast-paced as the
Lady Wolverines pulled ahead 22-3 in the first quarter, and they
went on to win the game by a score of 40-17.
The Wolverines were led in scoring by Kaelyn Froebe with 16
points, and Kennedy Lolling added 14. The Wolverines were led in
rebounding by Megan Joseph with 11 rebounds, and Emerie Wieber
pulled down seven boards. Joseph, Lolling and Froebe also added much
pressure, grabbing five steals each.
The Honeybears were led in scoring by Alex Bowles with five
points.
The eighth-grade Lady Wolverines improved their record to 5-3.
The Wolverines were scheduled for an eighth-grade game against
Zion Lutheran at Zion on Oct. 15.
