The Lincoln & Logan County Development
Partnership announces that Brian A. Bergen has been hired as its new
executive director, effective Tuesday.
|
Bergen replaces Michael Maniscalco, who resigned July 1. A search
committee led by board president Steven Smith evaluated more than 25
applicants. The committee was comprised of representatives from the
city of Lincoln, city of Atlanta, Logan County Board, Logan County
Farm Bureau, Heartland Community College and Lincoln Christian
University.
Bergen's experience includes a position as director of
agribusiness and economic development in eastern Indiana. In that
capacity, he worked with existing agribusiness operations and new
operations to bring over $850 million in investments into the
region. As a result, he was asked to assist and eventually lead the
economic development program of the regional organization, working
with county offices to attract new manufacturing and retail
opportunities.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business and economics from
Indiana State University.
