[October 25, 2012]  TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- President Barack Obama has resumed his campaign marathon in Florida, delivering doughnuts to a firehouse less than five hours after he wrapped up the previous day's campaigning in Las Vegas.

On the way to his first scheduled event Thursday, Obama and his entourage pulled into a Krispy Kreme store near downtown Tampa. He chatted with two young brothers and bought them doughnuts after asking their father for permission. Then he bought four dozen glazed doughnuts to go.

The president delivered the still warm doughnuts to firefighters and emergency workers at a firehouse in Tampa. He told the crew he's normally not out this early, but wanted to come by to thank them for their work.

Obama was on his way to a scheduled rally at Ybor State Museum Park.
