Tuesday and Tuesday night A weak weather disturbance moving
across the Midwest today will bring a chance for thunderstorms to
parts of the area. No severe weather is expected. There will be
another threat for scattered thunderstorms later tonight, mainly
west of Interstate 55. Again, the threat for any organized severe
weather is low.
Wednesday through Monday
A strong cold front is forecast to track across parts of
west-central and central Illinois late Wednesday, bringing a better
chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms. A few of the
storms Wednesday afternoon and early evening may become severe. The
primary threat would be from locally damaging wind gusts and large
hail.
Another weather system is slated to affect the area later in the
week, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms Thursday night
through Saturday.
