Virginia L. Shreve, 73, of Lincoln, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Virginia L. Shreve, 73, of Lincoln, passed away
September 14, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM
Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services
will be at 1:00 PM also on Wednesday at the funeral
home with Rev. Dennis Shull officiating. Burial will
follow in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, IL.
Virginia was born on January 30, 1939 in Lincoln,
IL. to Glenn and Helen Gill. She married Clyde J.
Shreve on December 23, 1956 in Mt. Pulaski, IL.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Shreve of
Lincoln; four daughters: Deborah Hamann of Lincoln,
Brenda (Mike) Kodatt of Lincoln, Angela (Brian)
Jenkins of New Holland, and Misty Maxey (Matt
Haynes) of Lincoln; two sons: David Shreve of Florida
and Daniel (Shannon) Shreve of Lincoln. She is
survived by 6 sisters: Betty (Ronald) Hulva of East
Peoria, Dorothy (Jerry) Dambacher of Lincoln,
Shirley (Darrell) Dambacher of Lake Fork, Georgia
(Larry) Horchem of Lincoln, and Ruth Stiles of
Lincoln. 22
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also
survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two
sisters Wanda Cross of San Jose and Marilyn McCray
of Lincoln, and one great grandchild.
She was of the Southern Baptist
faith and was a
homemaker.
Memorial donations may be made to Weldon Baptist
Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
