for the honor."Connie made me feel very comfortable and was very professional,"
the patient said.
Haseley has worked at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital for 34 years. She began as an X-ray technologist and after
10 years returned to school with the hospital's assistance. She
returned to ALMH to create the first nuclear medicine department and
has been the sole technologist ever since.
Nuclear medicine technologists use a scanner to create images of
various areas of a patient's body. They prepare radioactive drugs
and administer them to patients undergoing the scans. The
radioactive drugs cause abnormal areas of the body to appear
different from normal areas in the images. Technologists must be
licensed.
"Connie is an outstanding employee. She is professional,
organized and accurate, but even more importantly, she creates a
great patient experience with every patient. She is patient, kind
and gentle with her patients, and I am proud that she is on the ALMH
radiology team," said Kelly Bailey, ALMH radiology manager.
Haseley enjoys her position and finds it both fascinating and
rewarding. When asked what she would tell someone thinking of a
career in radiology and nuclear medicine, she said it would be an
excellent choice.

Haseley says that she likes working at ALMH because she enjoys
working with her "family" of co-workers and providing great patient
experiences.
"By working at ALMH, I have the opportunity to make a positive
difference to people when they need it most," she said.
ALMH is a 25-bed critical-access hospital located at 200 Stahlhut
Drive in Lincoln and is an affiliate of Memorial Health System. ALMH
