Mason City Area Nursing Home names new administrator

MASON CITY
-- Christine Banks, of Jacksonville, has been named
administrator at Mason City Area Nursing Home. As administrator,
Banks has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the
facility, which achieved the highest possible "Overall Rating" for
nursing homes of five stars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services earlier this year. The facility is licensed for 102 beds.

Banks has been with Heritage Enterprises since 1999. She started as
social services coordinator at the Heritage facility in Normal and
has held the positions of assistant administrator and administrator
at Heritage facilities in Jacksonville and Colfax, respectively. She
earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Illinois State
University. "I am looking forward to upholding the reputation of
this fine senior care facility in Mason City and contributing to the
quality of life of this close-knit community," Banks said.
She started as administrator at the nursing home on Sept. 17.
Mason City Area Nursing home has been managed by Heritage
Enterprises since 1989. Heritage was founded in 1962 and is involved
in a variety of residential and health care services for seniors,
including skilled and intermediate nursing care, sheltered care,
respite care, therapy and institutional pharmacy, supportive living
facilities, licensed assisted living, and independent living.
