            		PEORIA -- Kenneth E. "Stein" Thompson, 
			65, of Peoria, formerly of Atlanta, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at 
			2:04 p.m. at OSF. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

							Peoria- Kenneth E. "Stein" Thompson, 65, of Peoria 
							formerly of Atlanta passed away on Friday, April 5, 
							2013 at 2:04 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center 
							in Peoria. 
							 
							Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 
							10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral 
							Home in Atlanta with Rev. Janet Jones officiating.
							 
							 
							Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time 
							of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. 
							 
							Burial will be in the McLean Cemetery with Military 
							Rites accorded by the Burger-Benedict American 
							Legion Post #573. 
							 
							Kenneth Eugene Thompson was born on October 3, 1947 
							in Bloomington the son of Donald E. and Virginia 
							Goodpasture Thompson. He married Cynthia R. Gordon 
							on February 28, 1975 at the Church of God in McLean. 
							She survives. 
					
							Also surviving are his father : Donald of 
							Bloomington, his mother : Virginia of Englewood, 
							Ohio, his children: Lauralee Thompson of Peoria, 
							Mark (Ashley) Thompson of Lacon. one sister: Donna 
							(Jim) Balskey of Lewisburg, Ohio. Three 
							grandchildren: Elizabeth, Isabella, and Abigail.

							He was preceded in death by one brother: Ronald 
		Thompson. 
		 
		Kenneth graduated from the Atlanta High School in 1966. He served in the 
		Army National Guard Units in Bloomington and Bartonville for 20 years. 
		 
		He worked at the former Brooks Ford Garage in Atlanta. He and Cynthia 
		have owned and operated Park 74 Quick Lube Plus in Peoria for many 
		years.
