Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Wednesday afternoon, with corn higher and wheat and
soybeans ending lower.
Corn futures drew strength from
the lower than expected carryout figure of 757 million bushels.
On the other hand, a higher than
expected carryout figure helped to push wheat lower.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were 5 cents higher at 6.49-6.63.
Soybean bids were 1 to 3 cents
lower at 13.95-14.11.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 3 to 5 cents higher at 6.56-6.68.
Soybean bids were 2 to 3 cents
lower at
14.09-14.22.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 6
cents higher at 6.32-6.77.
Soybean bids were 3 cents lower at
14.07-14.23.
Wheat bids were 12 cents lower at
6.84-7.05.
