Zion Lutheran track results at Morton

[April 23, 2013]  MORTON -- The Lincoln Zion Lutheran track and field team got off to a good start at the invitational hosted by Bethel Lutheran, Morton. There was no team score for this meet, but the Eagles had many solid performers.

Boys

In the eighth-grade 100, Braydon Simpson placed third and Quentin Merreighn finished fifth, and in the seventh-grade 100, Jacob Mileham placed fifth.

In the seventh-grade 200, Jacob Mileham came in second.

In eighth-grade 400, Zach Prather got third place.

The eighth-grade 4x100 relay (Joel Robison, Braydon Simpson, Quentin Merreighn and Zach Prather) placed third, and the seventh-grade 4x100 (Carter Robison, Michael Newhouse, Lance Podbelsek and Blake Hermes) also placed third. The sixth-grade 4x100 relay (Will Messner, Evan Derrick, J.R. Lynn and Elijah Burton) was in fourth place.

In the eighth-grade shot put, Joel Robison got third place. Carter Robison placed second in sixth-grade shot put, and Will Stambaugh placed fourth in the fifth-grade shot put.

In eighth-grade discus, Joel Robison placed second and Zach Prather third. Jacob Mileham placed third in seventh-grade discus. In sixth-grade discus, Carter Robison placed second and Blake Hermes fourth.

In eighth-grade high jump, Braydon got first place and also broke the school record with a 5-foot, 6-inch jump.

Lance Podbelsek placed fifth in the seventh-grade long jump

Michael Newhouse placed third in the seventh-grade triple jump.

Braydon Simpson placed first in the 110 hurdles for eighth grade.

Girls

Lauren Canady placed first in the seventh-grade 100, and Julianne Funk got third. In the eighth-grade 100, Hallie Williams placed fourth.

In the seventh-grade 200, Julianne Funk placed fourth.

Brooklyn Hermes placed fourth in the eighth-grade 400, and Lane Prather placed fourth in the sixth-grade 400

In the sixth-grade 800, Madelyn Koehler placed first and Lane Prather took fourth.

The seventh-grade 4x100 relay (Gabbie Cox, Emma Cooper, Lauren Canady and Madelyn Koehler) placed fifth. The eighth-grade 4x100 relay (Hallie Williams, Danielle Burgrabe, Brooklyn Hermes and Heather Heidbreder) also placed fifth.

In the eighth-grade shot put, Anna Sielaff placed first and broke the school record with a 31-foot, 7.5-inch throw.

In seventh-grade shot put, Emma Cooper placed fourth and Gabbie Cox third.

Anna Sielaff also placed first in eighth-grade discus, and Lane Prather placed first in sixth-grade discus.

In the long jump, Hallie Williams placed third in the eighth grade and Madelyn Koehler placed third in the fifth grade.

In the triple jump, Lauren Canady placed third in the seventh grade, Lane Prather placed first in the sixth grade, and Madelyn Koehler placed first in the fifth grade.

In eighth-grade high jump, Heather Heidbreader placed third and Sydney Johnson fourth. Julianne Funk placed second in the seventh-grade high jump.
