TripAdvisor GreenLeaders have met a set of environmental standards developed for
TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert
partners. The more green practices a hotel has in place, the higher its
GreenLeader level, which is shown on the property's listing on the TripAdvisor
website. "The Hampton Inn -- Lincoln features environmentally friendly services
and many eco-friendly policies, along with the style and sophistication our
guests have come to expect from us," said Damon Priddy, general manager at the
Hampton.
"An example of our commitment to conservation is our linen and towel reuse
program, saving nearly 81,000 gallons of water annually," Piddy said. This
program allows guests staying multiple nights to reuse their linens if they
wish.
Priddy said the hotel also uses monthly incentives for employees to conserve
electricity; there is recycling throughout the hotel; and the hotel participates
in the Hilton LightStay program. LightStay is Hilton's corporate program that
has saved nearly $74 million in utility costs.
Travelers can now search the TripAdvisor website for accommodations that have
a GreenLeaders status and view a detailed list of environmentally friendly
practices that they can expect at each location.

million travelers."
